HISTORY

Originally founded as Adsask Agencies in 1966 by Joe and Anna Brown, Brown Communications Group has built a legacy of creative excellence and strategic expertise. A staple of the Canadian marketing and advertising landscape, Brown has worked with countless private, non-profit, and public sector organizations over the past several decades.

Based in the heart of Regina, we have deep Saskatchewan roots and a passion for the province we call home. However, we’ve also worked extensively in our neighbouring provinces and at the national level.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Ken Christoffel

CEO

Ken first joined the Client Service team at Brown in 1986 and went on to become both a majority shareholder and CEO of the firm. He’s a Harvard Business School graduate and was the founder of Young Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan. Ken’s reputation as a thoughtful and strategic leader was acknowledged nationally when he received an Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Technology and Communications.

Lori Romanoski

President

Lori has been a leader at Brown for over a decade and has more than 25 years of experience in marketing communications. Her extensive background working with Indigenous audiences makes her a valuable resource. Lori always puts clients first and makes sure that everyone has a seat at the table.

Natasha Nagel

Vice-President

If there’s anything Natasha loves more than dogs, it’s data. Her passion for research and data, paired with her knowledge of psychology and marketing, shapes digital strategies for all Brown clients. Natasha has a Master of Science in Marketing, plus certifications in various popular platforms like Google, StackAdapt, and Facebook. Her expertise ensures all our clients’ messaging reaches the right people.

Candace Kyrzyk

Director of Operations

Candace leads Brown’s client service team with responsiveness, dedication, and a penchant for budgets. She is passionate about bettering herself through lifelong learning and recently completed several LinkedIn Learning courses, as well as the IAP2 Foundations in Public Participation program.

Karla McNally

Creative Director

Karla McNally is an award-winning Creative Director with global experience in both brand and advertising that spans two decades and two continents. She is an ambitious storyteller and a type aficionado. Karla brings a unique and refreshing perspective for creating emotional connection.

Matt Berthiaume, Creative Director | Brown is a Canadian marketing and advertising communications agency

Creative Director

Matt’s ability to blend creative strategies with business acumen gives him an impressive one-two punch. He started his career as an illustrator and fashion designer, before completing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Matt graduated from the Miami Ad School and has a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.

Linda Williams

Associate Vice-President

Linda believes that strategy should always come before tactics—an approach that creates efficiencies and delivers results. She brings well-rounded experience to Brown’s clients, including brand management, value proposition development, social marketing plans, and market research.

Since beginning his marketing communications career in 2008, Brandon has led campaigns for multinational clients like Unilever, Pepsi, HSBC, and Abbott. He brings a fresh perspective and insight that helps clients better connect with their audiences.
