It came as no surprise to all of us at Brown that Jim Aho was named Kids Help Phone’s Regional Volunteer of the Year at the annual Being There for Kids Breakfast, April 7th.
“I have a huge soft spot for kids struggling with family and social problems.” Jim says about why he volunteers for Kids Help Phone. “The innocence of childhood is a beautiful thing. As a father of two wonderful and successful children and grandfather of a beautiful baby boy, it saddens me to know how many youngsters out there are facing challenges that cause them such pain.”
Kids Help Phone is there to make sure no kids’ cry for help goes unanswered. That means providing professional counselors 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Jim joined the National Board of Kids Help Phone in 2008 representing Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Brown is proud to support Kids Help Phone and to congratulate our friend and colleague who works hard every day to give help and hope to Canada’s kids.
